Private Training Sessions
Personalized coaching for you and your dog, in the environments that matter most.

Private training puts you at the center of the work. Rather than sending your dog away, you are there for every session — learning the mechanics, developing your read of the dog, and building the communication that makes training stick. We work in your home, your neighborhood, and the parks you actually use. The program is built around your real life, not a controlled facility environment.
What's Included
- —Full behavioral assessment at intake
- —Customized training plan based on your dog's specific needs
- —In-home or outdoor sessions at locations you choose
- —Owner coaching on handling mechanics and timing
- —Written session recap and take-home practice notes
- —Follow-up support between sessions
- —Progress benchmarking at every session
Ideal For
Dog owners dealing with specific problem behaviors who want to stay hands-on throughout the process. Common issues: leash reactivity, aggression, recall, separation anxiety, jumping, and general obedience.
Duration
Sessions are 60–90 minutes. Most programs run 6–10 sessions spaced weekly, with the option to continue as needed.
What a Session Looks Like
Every first session begins with a behavioral assessment. We observe your dog in their normal environment, ask about history, and identify the specific behaviors you need to address. From there we build a program — not a generic one, but a plan specific to your dog's temperament, age, and the behaviors you are dealing with.
Sessions move at the dog's pace. When something is working, we build on it. When something is not, we adjust. You are coached through every exercise in real time so you understand not just what to do but why — that understanding is what lets you maintain training between sessions.
What You Will Learn
The goal of private training is to build handler skills alongside dog skills. By the end of the program, you should be able to read your dog's body language, understand what drives specific behaviors, and execute the mechanics of training accurately enough to run effective practice sessions on your own.
- —How to read your dog's body language and stress signals
- —Marker timing, reward mechanics, and how to use drive as a reinforcer
- —How to structure daily practice at home without a trainer present
- —How to set your dog up for success in high-distraction environments
- —How to recognize and respond to early warning signs before behaviors escalate
Common Issues We Address
- —Leash reactivity and on-leash aggression
- —Jumping, mouthing, and attention-seeking behavior
- —Recall and off-leash reliability
- —Resource guarding toward people or other animals
- —Separation anxiety and over-attachment
- —General obedience foundation: sit, down, stay, heel, place
“The goal is not just a trained dog. It is an owner who understands their dog well enough to maintain and build on that training for years.”
How to Get Started
Every program begins with a free consultation call. We talk through your dog's history, the specific behaviors you are dealing with, and what success looks like for your situation. From there we put together a program recommendation — number of sessions, frequency, and locations — and you decide whether to move forward. No pressure, no upsell.
